Accessibility

Last updated September 2026.

We want everyone to be able to find and use a local deal, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, zoom or larger text. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we have done

  • Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
  • Pages use real headings, lists, buttons and links, so screen readers can navigate them.
  • Text and controls meet AA colour-contrast levels, and buttons are large enough to tap.
  • The featured slideshow can be paused, moved by hand and swiped, and it stays still for anyone whose device asks for reduced motion.
  • Pages stay usable when zoomed to 200% or with larger text, on phones and desktops.
  • Forms have labels, and errors are explained in words, not just colour.
  • Deal details are written as text, not only inside pictures.

What we know is not perfect

Logos, photos and flyers are supplied by the businesses. We ask for a text description of each and include the important details of every deal as text, but a picture may occasionally contain wording that is not repeated elsewhere. If you find one, tell us and we will fix it.

Tell us about a problem

If anything on Pocket Perks is hard to use, please let us know what page and what happened. We will reply and, where we can, provide the information another way while we fix it.
